A few sketches I thought I'd throw up here... one original, one from life drawing and the other referenced (unfortunately don't know the artist name). Apologies for the low quality images.

Christmas Art Trade

This year at the studio we did a Christmas art trade instead of a secret Santa. I was lucky enough to pull one of my good friends name and was really excited to work on something for her. Hours and hours and hours later, with a million direction changes and the deadline fast approaching, I was finally able to finish this. This is a big tribute piece to Erik Jones amazing style of art and my first time attempting it. I'm quite pleased with the outcome. :)

Finally finished my Koi paintings. Very happy with how my first attempt at a traditional medium has worked out. Looking forward to starting my next set.

Koi Pond WIP

Here is my first attempt at traditional paintings with acrylics. Of course I had to continue with my 'Go Big or Go Home' approach to things and start with a 7 piece painting. :P

Fish blocked in over the water...

Added orange details to the fish...

Added iridescent silver details and lily pads...

 

Next will be the flowers,water ripples and then to finish off with painting the sides black. Wish me luck!
